Order a Dumpster and We’ll Plant a Tree

It’s just that simple… we will plant one tree for each dumpster ordered.

There’s no limit to the number of trees we will plant, so order a dumpster today and take one small step towards a greener tomorrow.

Affordable Dumpster Service is committed to being an environmentally responsible business.  We are committed to minimizing the impact of our services on the environment and to removing recyclable materials from our customers’ waste streams.  We believe that each of us holds an obligation to preserve and protect the environment, and we are dedicated to doing our part plus some.  We are devoted to reducing waste in our communities and in society.  We encourage conservation, recycling and energy use programs that promote clean air and water, reduce landfill wastes and replenish the planet’s natural resources. We will follow applicable environmental laws to ensure that your waste will be disposed in a manner that meets or exceeds all local, state and federal environmental regulations.

The trees we’re planting have a clear and cumulative effect on the environment and on greenhouse gas levels.  The average tree inhales 26 lbs of carbon dioxide per year and exhales enough oxygen for a family of four for a year.  Trees also reflect solar radiation back into space and increase cloud cover, both of which help counteract global warming.  We have partnered with Trees for the Future for this important project to offset our impact on the environment.  Trees for the Future is a 501(c) 3 Tax-Exempt Non-Profit Organization and has earned the top rating of 4 stars from Charity Navigator.

There is a Native American proverb which we take to heart: “We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children. We are merely stewards of the earth’s resources, which must be passed on to future generations.”

We are proud to support the following organizations and their efforts:

Reusing products is one the most effective things you can do to reduce your impact. Freecycle is an online community of folks nationwide who share unwanted products with others, diverting tons of waste from landfills. The only rule – everything has to be free. Visit their site to find a local Freecycling group in your area!

Don’t Throw it Away, Recycle for Habitat!

In addition to saving you money, our Re-Stores help the environment by facilitating the re-use of building materials and gently used appliances. Recycling these materials keeps them out of local landfill sites and diverts them from the waste stream.

The ReStores accept overstocked items, seconds, used, discontinued and salvageable building materials, home improvement items, and major appliances donated by builders, contractors, manufacturers and individuals.  Donated materials are used whenever possible in the construction of Dallas Area Habitat homes.
